Grady Snyder is a
retired Tampa Police Department Detective with over 30 years of
law enforcement experience involving Interviews, Surveillance,
Intelligence Gathering and Complex Investigations.
During his career, Grady Snyder worked the streets of Tampa as a
Patrol Officer, and then as a recruiter background investigator
in the department's personnel bureau. While participating in the
hiring of police recruits in the personnel section, Snyder was
selected and licensed by the State of Florida to teach and
instruct in the area of field interviews and field
interrogations at the Tampa Police Department Academy, Tampa Bay
Area Colleges and other Training institutions. After the
assignment in the personnel section, Detective Snyder was
transferred to the Department's Criminal Intelligence Bureau
where he stayed for over 25 years.
While in the intelligence bureau, Grady gathered Tactical
intelligence and Strategic Intelligence information on numerous
organized criminal factions that not only operated on the
streets of Tampa, but extended themselves on a National and
International level. During his career, Grady was deputized by
the Federal government on several occasions and was appointed to
assist the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), United States
Secret Service (USSS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms (ATF) in a variety of
Investigations. After the aforementioned investigations, Grady
was selected as one of the TOP TEN LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS IN
THE STATE OF FLORIDA by the commissioner of the Florida
Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) along with a panel of law
enforcement dignitaries.
Grady was also a member of the Tampa Bay area Intelligence Unit
(TBAIU), Florida Intelligence Unit (FIU) and the Regional
Organized Crime Information Center (ROCIC). For over 25 years,
Grady provided security for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Tampa
Stadium and for over 5 years provided security for the New York
Yankees at Legends Field. Grady has participated in and provided
Dignitary Protection to every President of the United States
since 1976 during their visits to Tampa. Grady has provided
personal protection to numerous dignitaries throughout his
career. Grady is proud of the numerous commendation letters that
he has received during his career that was sent to the Tampa
Police Department, with some of the notable ones being from
RONALD REAGAN, HENRY KISSINGER, GEORGE STEINBRENNER, Director of
the UNITED STATES SECRET SERVICE, and the Director of the
FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION.
Grady retired from the Tampa Police Department in 1999, and
shortly thereafter started his practice in the Private
Investigative field. Since then, he has provided assistance to
contractors and clients with Surveillance, Civil and Criminal
Defense Investigations, and Personal Protection. For a short
amount of time after his retirement, Grady accepted a 6 month
contract with an International firm and traveled the United
States training airport screeners for TSA.
